Job Description

Your career and the team

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Compliance Officer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. You will help developing our internal compliance department in accordance with laws and regulations, while contributing to our growth ambitions as a regulated cryptocurrency service provider.

As part of the Compliance department, you will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and be involved in supporting and coordinating the design and implementation of core aspects within the Compliance framework. You will become a key member in MiCAR implementation and act as an internal advisor on compliance matters. In addition to your broader compliance responsibilities, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with local and international requirements, closely cooperating with the Anti-Financial Crime department and the Board of Directors. Your daily adventures will include

  • Advising on compliance and regulatory matters and monitoring effective compliance with internal policies

  • Assisting in licensing application and engaging with key regulators in and outside The Netherlands 

  • Monitoring crypto regulatory developments and requirements in close collaboration with all internal departments

  • Creating, reviewing, and updating regulatory and compliance frameworks to ensure compliance with existing and upcoming laws and regulations.

  • Providing strategic advice to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Management Board

  • Closely cooperating with the Anti-Financial Crime department to ensure robust Anti-Financial Crime policies and processes

  • Setting up a future-proof internal compliance department and growing the team

Preferred Experience

What you’ll need to be successful

  • 2-5 years of experience in Compliance/Risk related business functions with a focus on the cryptocurrency and financial services industries

  • Fluency in English (additional European languages such as Dutch is a plus). 

  • Proven track record in supporting and coordinating the design and implementation of core compliance processes

  • In-depth knowledge of international regulatory landscape, particularly in the cryptocurrency industry 

  • Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal, capable of conveying complex regulatory information effectively

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of business functions

  • Demonstrated ability to voice concerns, address challenges, and engage effectively with key partners and regulators

  • Interest in digital assets and a strong alignment with Finst's commitment to transparency, safety, and integrity
